Trainings: Ethical Considerations, Recovery Coach Academy, and Mental Health First Aid
in Local Events
Lowell House is taking applications for three upcoming trainings: Ethical Considerations, Recovery Coach Academy, and Mental Health First Aid. Anyone interested can apply through our website using this link: https://www.lowellhouseinc.org/training-programs. At this time, all trainings will be held remotely, though we do have plans to start in-person and blended trainings this summer.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Alison Salem at Asalem@lowellhouseinc.org or Matt Brown, at Mbrown@lowellhouseinc.org. They can also provide these trainings for other organizations if you have a large group and would like to set up a closed session.
Ethical Considerations is a 3-day training that runs from April 19th to the 21st. Ethical Considerations is a training for individuals who either have completed the week-long Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) or who are planning on taking the RCA soon. It is a required course for individuals seeking certification for Recovery Coaching.
Our next RCA will run from May 17-21. The RCA is a weeklong training and is the core for individuals interested in becoming Recovery Coaches.
Mental Health First Aid will be held June 2nd and 3rd. It is an 8-hour (total) training over two days that helps individuals recognize and respond to individuals experiencing mental health crises. The course can apply towards required content for Recovery Coach certification and is a good opportunity for anybody seeking more information and resources on this topic.
