The Greater Lowell community believes that prevention is just one piece of the puzzle needed to decrease the number of individuals who acquire Substance Use Disorder (SUD). There are a number of efforts taking place across our communities to empower youth and young adults to make healthy decisions about using alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, prescription drugs (not prescribed to them), and other drugs throughout their lifetimes.
The Prevention Professionals of Northern Middlesex, your Greater Lowell substance use prevention coalition, works closely with the Center for Strategic Prevention Support (SPCS) to prevent and reduce the misuse of alcohol and other drugs.
